College Of Education Akamkpa Expels Student For Refusal To Sing National Anthem

A student of the College of Education Akamkpa in Cross River state, whose name was given as Esther Edet, has been expelled from the ongoing 19th Edition of Nigerian Colleges of Education Games, NICEGA at Federal College of Education, Obudu in northern Cross River, for allegedly refusing to sing the national anthem together with other participants. She was said to have flouted the rules that all student and participant should stand while the nation’s anthem is rendered. Authorities said the expulsion would serve as deterrent to other participants who may attempt to go against the rules of the game. NICEGA National President, Dr Sanusi Mohammed, who expelled Edet said, “All participants must obey the rule and play by them, any athlete who goes contrary to the regulations of the games will be shown the way out. Actress Linda Ejiofor's Husband Reveals What She Does To His Boxers

Seems as though actress Linda Ejiofor doesn't allow her husband Ibrahim Suleman's boxers to rest, and he has taken to Twitter to 'complain'. According to him, she has turned all his boxers to house shorts, and toxic masculinity will not allow him pay her back. Lol! "This woman has turned ALL my boxers to her house shorts sha. Worse, Toxic masculinity will now not let me do her back by using all her undergarments as house wear. It is a woman's world for real for real,"  he tweeted. Says he can’t be judge in his own case • Ortom backs N’Assembly’s legal action • Hoodlums attack protesting lawyers in Rivers A Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja has dismissed a suit filed by the suspended Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Walter Onnoghen, seeking to halt his trial at the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) over asset declaration. Essentially, Onnoghen sought to stop the tribunal from arresting, arraigning and trying him on the six-count charge brought against him by the Federal Government. The presiding Justice Abdul Aboki, in his ruling on the matter, dismissed the appeal and declared that the trial of Onnoghen at the CCT should proceed. The Court of Appeal had earlier urged the CCT to stay proceedings in the trial of Onnoghen pending the outcome of the application before it. A makeup artist bombarded a businessman with 159,000 texts, and allegedly broke into his home to take a bath after just one date. In one chilling message Jacqueline Ades, 33, warned the CEO she’d “make sushi” out of his kidneys and “chopsticks” from his hand bones. The businessman — whose identity hasn’t been released by authorities — said he only responded to a handful of messages and eventually blocked her phone number, reports the New York Post. Ades pleaded not guilty to stalking and trespassing charges in the case, that is set to go to trial on Tuesday in Maricopa County Superior Court in Phoenix, Arizona. According to police records, the pair went on one date, and parted ways before the end of the night. Hannah Jenkins is the UK woman who suffered a cycling incident that caused her to lose her ability to speak English. Growing up in a household where German was the primary language, Jenkins was used to speaking German with her family, but English with everyone else.  After the bike incident, she realized she could no longer understand English. The father of twins found dead at home has paid a heartbreaking tribute to his 'beautiful babies' - as their crying mother appeared in court charged with their murder.  Steven Ford took to Twitter this morning to post an image of his two children Jake and Chloe embracing one another. Plagiarism Row At FUTMINNA

The Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUTMINNA) in Niger State, has expelled a doctoral student Olateju Ademola Mukaila, for alleged plagiarism. Three lecturers accused of complicity in the case were sanctioned. The decision did not go down well with the Academic Staff Union (ASUU), JUSTINA ASISHANA Minna reports. The expulsion of a doctoral student of the Federal University of Technology, Minna, (FUTMINNA),  Niger State is generating  controversy in the university. Olateju Adedamola Mukaila, a PhD student in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning was expelled after being accused of ‘plagiarism’. However, he was not punished alone.  Three other lecturers linked to the matter served one punishment or the other. For instance, Mukaila’s supervisor (internal) Prof Oluwole Olukanmi Morenikeji, was not only demoted, but was relieved of his position as Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academics).
